The 2nd Critical Care Symposium was hosted by Saudi German Hospital Dubai on 11th Jan. 2017. The symposium mainly focused as a multi-disciplinary team contributes for the success of a comprehensive critical care unit. Eminent speakers with their expertise in the field of critical care shared their knowledge and experience on the various topics which was overwhelmingly appreciated by the attendees. The distinguished speakers shared their views on diverse topics like - Overview of evidence based management of Pneumonia, Acute Pulmonary Embolism: Diagnosis and Management; Acute Renal Failure; Quality Assessment of Ischemic Stroke in Emergency Department; and A Case Study on Shock: What We Need to Know? During the month of December a Blood Donation campaign was conducted at Saudi German Hospital in order to support the blood bank. The campaign was attended by around 80 persons from staff and visitors. This showed the high level of awareness about the importance of donating blood to save lives. Saudi German Hospital is committed to support the blood bank in coordination with Latifa hospital.
